In our 30-sample test set, the top-3 identification hit rate is ≥ 80%. When confidence is below 70%, GardenSage asks for a closer leaf photo instead of adding the plant to your garden — we'd rather ask twice than guess wrong.

Every care tip in GardenSage AI carries a citation to a public-domain source (UIUC Plant Pathology, RHS, etc.). If AI can't supply a sourced tip, the system refuses to show it. Long-press any tip to read the source quote and Reject / Approve it — you stay in control.
3. Is it safe to follow the pesticide advice?
All tips mentioning a chemical substance pass a 15-word client + server filter and show a mandatory dosage-aware safety disclaimer in four languages.
