1. How accurate is the plant identification?
In our 30-sample test set, the top-3 identification hit rate is ≥ 80%. When confidence is below 70%, GardenSage asks for a closer leaf photo instead of adding the plant to your garden — we'd rather ask twice than guess wrong.
2. Are the AI care tips trustworthy?
Every care tip in GardenSage AI carries a citation to a public-domain source (UIUC Plant Pathology, RHS, etc.). If AI can't supply a sourced tip, the system refuses to show it. Long-press any tip to read the source quote and Reject / Approve it — you stay in control.
3. Is it safe to follow the pesticide advice?
All tips mentioning a chemical substance pass a 15-word client + server filter and show a mandatory dosage-aware safety disclaimer in four languages. GardenSage AI is a hobby gardening assistant, not a licensed agronomist. Always cross-check the product label and local regulations before applying any chemical.
4. Does it work without internet?
Yes, for the offline knowledge base (200 plants + 30 pests with basic care info). Plant identification and pest diagnosis require an internet connection — the app shows a toast and your identification history cache when you're offline.
5. How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; Pro features stay usable until then.
6. How do I delete my account?
App → Profile → Account settings → Delete account. After your confirmation, all data (plants, care logs, photos, audit logs) is cascade-deleted immediately and permanently erased from our servers within 7 days.
